Wow, it’s been a while…

I guess they old saying is true – time flies when you’re having fun!!  Or, maybe it’s because we sold a home, bought a home, had a baby and I changed jobs all in 18 months.  2017 & 2018 were definitely whirlwind years – so many life changes in such a short period of time.  No wonder this blog was put on the back burner!!

I cannot believe it’s been two years since our last trip report!  We created this blog for two reasons – 1.) to share live experiences with our families back home and 2.) to be able to look back on some of the places we’ve been, and remember some of those details you forget as time goes on.  Luckily, I kept writing on each trip, but I never got around to uploading the content to this page.

Since our last entry there’s been trips to Phoenix, Boston, Pompano Beach, Fort , Grand Cayman and a few long weekends that included Las Vegas, and Orlando; as well as a couple of trips up to the Great Lakes Region, and down to Hocking Hills, here in Ohio.

In case you skimmed over that first paragraph and missed it, in March of 2018, we welcomed a tiny human into this world.  It’s taken about 14 months for life (and me) to feel back to “normal.”  I suppose it’s our new normal, and if I’ve learned anything over the past year it’s that just when I start to feel like we’ve mastered our new normal, the tiny human enters a new developmental phase, and we adjust our routine all over again.

I have no idea what will happen with our tiny little travel journal/blog.  But, I do plan to upload the Cayman trip, as well as the Pompano trip to this blog – primarily, to have the memories for ourselves.  Those were our two most recent trips – so, it feels like a good place to pick back up.  We leave in a little more than a month for our first stateside vacation in more than a decade – my goal is to get back into the routine of uploading content “real time.”

So, be on the lookout for Cayman 2018 and Pompano 2019 trip reports and photos – you’ll see pictures of the tiny human, and maybe, just maybe, you’ll learn a little more about our travels, what works for us, and how traveling with a tiny human really hasn’t been that different than 20 years of travel as a couple.  Except the stuff…we travel with so much stuff now!!
